So here are some tests using different analog sensors. Below are videos using a knob to fade an LED from LOW to HIGH and the other is a light sensor to fade the LED based on the amount of light that the sensor picks up.

Reminds me of the town streetlights where I grew up. They had light sensors on them so the streetlight would turn on when it got dark out. When we got really bored in the summer, we’d shine a flashlight on the sensor, making the streetlight turn on and off. (We didn’t know any programming back then.)
